How to divide low voltage and high voltage electrical appliances:
1. Low-voltage electrical appliances: refers to the low-voltage electrical equipment that we refer to in our daily life, which refers to the equipment that undertakes on-off control in the 380/220V power grid.
Low-voltage electrical appliances are components or equipment that can be manually or automatically connected and disconnected according to external signals and requirements to realize the switching, control, protection, detection, transformation and adjustment of circuits or non-electrical objects. Control appliances according to the level of its working voltage, with AC 1000V, DC 1500V as the boundary, can be divided into two categories of high-voltage control appliances and low-voltage control appliances. In general, low-voltage electrical appliances can be divided into two categories: power distribution appliances and control appliances, which are the basic components of complete sets of electrical equipment.
2. High-voltage electrical appliances refer to the equipment used to realize closing, breaking, protection, control, adjustment and measurement in high-voltage lines.
General high-voltage electrical appliances include switching appliances, measuring appliances and current limiting and voltage limiting appliances. The internationally recognized dividing line of high and low voltage electrical appliances is 1kV AC (1500V DC). For AC 1kV above for high-voltage electrical appliances, 1kV and below for low-voltage electrical appliances. Sometimes transformers are also included in high-voltage appliances.
