Energy Bureau Organization Signed Cooperation Agreement on Direct Current Transmission from Northern Shaanxi to Hubei

On April 30, the National Energy Administration organized and signed a long-term cooperation agreement for the DC transmission project from northern Shaanxi to Hubei by video conference in Beijing. Liu Baohua pointed out that the signing of the long-term cooperation agreement on the DC transmission project from northern Shaanxi to Hubei is a practical action to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on the prevention and control of epidemics and economic and social development. All parties should combine the signing of the long-term cooperation agreement to improve the utilization efficiency of the transmission channel, promote the maximization of economic and social benefits, and make the project a link of friendship between the two provinces, a bridge for common development, and an artery for green transformation, and contribute to the economic and social development of the two provinces. The direct current transmission project from northern Shaanxi to Hubei is a key project to fight the battle of targeted poverty alleviation in the western region and pollution prevention and control in the central region, promote the development and delivery of comprehensive energy bases in northern Shaanxi, and meet the guarantee of power supply in Hubei Province. The project started on February 28 this year. The organization signed a cooperation agreement aimed at further implementing the transmission end power supply, receiving end market and transmission mechanism of the DC transmission channel from northern Shaanxi to Hubei, ensuring the effective and stable and efficient transmission of power after the completion of the DC project, and will also play an important role in supporting and helping Hubei and Wuhan to revive after the epidemic.
Guo Zhi, chief economist of the National Energy Administration, presided over the meeting.
